Ara Benning - Managing Director
Ara Benning began his journey in the construction industry in 1987. Ara served his Carpentry & Joinery apprenticeship with Lovell's and since has built up a solid knowledge of the industry both on and off site. In his capacity as Managing Director, Ara has moved the business into new areas and has been instrumental in the development and continual growth of the Insurance and New Builds sector. Ara has been one of the main instigators in the growing success of the business following several new acquisitions and projects undertaken by Benning Brothers which have included purchasing Meopham Fencing Works for the new office premises
Sarj Benning - Construction Director
Sarj Benning achieved a City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry & Joinery in 1992. Sarj has the benefit of 16 years site experience and has seen quick progression from a trainee carpenter to site manager. Partnered with Ara to expand the early carpentry business Sarj now concentrates on management of the construction side ensuring that all site adhere to pre-determined budgets in line with client requests whilst monitoring the company’s strict quality control levels.
Harry Benning - Financial Director
Harry Benning began his career working at Comma Oils as an Accounts Clerk, after 5 years service he quickly progressed as an Accounts Assistant in various larger institutions such as Safeway, Tiphook Plc and Duckhams. In 1990 he joined Chapter Oils where he took up the position of Credit Control Manager. At Chapter Oils he assisted the company in containing bad debts and increased company turnover tenfold. He decided to leave Chapter Oils after 12 years of service to take up his position at Benning Brothers and is now in control of all financial aspects of the company.
Glen Selby - Commercial Manager
Glen Selby joined the company in August 2005 to head up the New Build sector of the business. He was selected for this role as he benefits from over 10 years experience in New Build developments whilst working for various establishments such as Berkeley Homes, Appledore Developments and Stirling Homes. Glens' experience in cost management covers a wide spectrum of projects with values ranging from £200k to some of the largest being £13.5 million. Since joining Benning Brothers Glen has taken on more responsibility and now heads the commercial department of the business.
